Service portal with SAP and CATALOGcreator®
B.Braun Melsungen AG together with TID Informatik GmbH is generating an inter-divisional service portal for 3 business areas. In future, internal and external service technicians with corresponding access authorisation will be able to access any service information on those devices for which they have been trained and certified.
The catalogs are based on structured service-oriented SAP parts lists. The assembly itself provides any available information, such as disassembly and assembly instructions, test procedures and instructions, special tool catalogs, technical modification details, care and maintenance info, utility clips and animations.
Graphic navigation involves 3D CAD-models from CATIA V5, which were highly compressed, protected and as such made suitable for the web using the fully automatic XVL-Technology process of Lattice Technologies.
The enormous flexibility of the CATALOGcreator® Software allowed realisation of B. Braun’s high demands on design and functionality of the user interface within an extremely short implementation time. There is also sufficient room to play with implementing other ideas.
